Most of our pieces are suitable for ambient light only, not as a primary light source for a room.

WLED gives you the ability to reduce the brightness if you find the light too bright.

WLED is an open-source project for controlling LED lights. It provides a virtually endless combination of animation and color effects.

All of our pieces include a set of effects that we have curated to compliment your piece. These effects will play automatically when you plug in your piece. You can use the piece as-is, or personalize the effects to your liking.

WLED can be controlled via a mobile app or web browser by connecting to its wireless access point. It does not connect to your home network unless you configure it to do so.

Many of our pieces use WLED controllers with short USB connectors.

If you need a longer cable, we recommend USB extension cables, which can be purchased inexpensively on Amazon (and other retailers). Be sure to get a cable with USB type A female connection on one end.

Many power strips also include USB connections that will also work. USB power banks can be used for portable installations.

We don’t provide extension cables since everyone has different needs. We’re happy to make specific recommendations if needed.

Intellectual Property Policy

Chonky Marmot Studios respects the intellectual property rights of artists, creators, copyright holders, trademark owners, and other rights holders. We expect others to do the same.

If you believe that material appearing on our website or offered through Chonky Marmot Studios infringes intellectual property rights that you own or are authorized to represent, please contact us using the process below.

Reporting Copyright or Intellectual Property Infringement

Notices of alleged infringement may be sent by email to:

To allow us to identify and evaluate your claim, please include the following information:

1. Your authorization. A physical or electronic signature of the owner of the intellectual property right, or of a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

2. Identification of the protected work. Describe the copyrighted work, trademark, or other intellectual property that you believe has been infringed. If your notice concerns multiple works, you may provide a representative list identifying them.

3. Identification of the material in question. Clearly identify the Chonky Marmot Studios product, listing, image, webpage, or other material you believe is infringing. Please provide enough information for us to locate it, such as a product name or webpage address.

4. Your contact information. Provide your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address so that we can contact you regarding the claim.

5. A good-faith statement. State that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use of the material is not authorized by the intellectual property owner, its authorized representative, or applicable law.

6. A statement of accuracy and authority. State that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner of the intellectual property right at issue or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Notices concerning copyright infringement should comply with the applicable requirements of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), including 17 U.S.C. § 512.

What Happens After We Receive a Notice

When Chonky Marmot Studios receives a sufficiently complete and credible infringement notice, we will review the material identified in the notice.

When appropriate, we may remove the material, disable access to it, suspend a listing, or take other reasonable action while the matter is reviewed. When applicable, we may also notify the person responsible for the affected material and provide information concerning the claim.

We reserve the right to take appropriate action concerning repeated infringement of intellectual property rights.

Submitting an incomplete notice may prevent us from evaluating or acting upon a claim. Knowingly making material misrepresentations concerning copyright infringement or the removal of material may also result in liability under Section 512(f) of the U.S. Copyright Act.

Counter-Notices

If material you provided to Chonky Marmot Studios has been removed or disabled in response to a copyright complaint and you believe the removal resulted from a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notice to:

A DMCA counter-notice should include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.

2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and, where applicable, the location where the material appeared before its removal.

3. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification.

4. Your name, mailing address, and telephone number.

5. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States Federal District Court as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), and agreeing to accept service of process from the person who submitted the original infringement notice or that person's agent.

After receiving a valid counter-notice, Chonky Marmot Studios may provide a copy to the party who submitted the original complaint. Where required or permitted under the DMCA, removed material may subsequently be restored unless the complaining party informs us that it has filed an action seeking a court order concerning the material.
